The S.O.A.R. (Student Outreach & Aggie Readiness) Program is a one-day experience designed for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors to explore what life at Texas A&M University is like. Participants will engage in interactive sessions led by members of the Aggie Recruitment Committee, learn about the application process, academic opportunities, campus involvement, and Aggie traditions, and connect with current students from a variety of majors and backgrounds. Through panels, activities, and guided campus experiences, S.O.A.R. provides students with valuable insight and preparation as they begin considering their future as potential Aggies.
The S.O.A.R. Program is designed to help students build meaningful connections and gain confidence as they prepare for the transition from high school to college. Throughout the day, students will take part in interactive workshops, campus activities, and discussions led by members of the Aggie Recruitment Committee. Family members are invited to participate in a parent informational panel that allows families to ask current Texas A&M students questions and gain insight that can help support their student’s college journey. S.O.A.R. is intentionally limited in size to allow for a more personalized and engaging experience for participants. Students are expected to attend the full duration of the program, while parents will be released following the conclusion of the designated parent session.

S.O.A.R. 2026 Selection Process
S.O.A.R is a program planned by the Aggie Recruitment Committee for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors interested in experiencing college life at Texas A&M University. With the resources and facilities we currently have, we are able to invite 150 students to campus for the S.O.A.R. program. To provide the fairest selection process to all interested parties, we will be implementing the following selection process for S.O.A.R. 2026:
Every application submitted during the time that registration is open is accepted. If registration is not filled up during that time slot, it will stay open until all spaces are filled. The first 75 participants to register will be guaranteed a spot at conference, and an additional 75 spots will be filled for the wait list. The wait list spots will be offered a spot for conference as openings become available.
